Well this was something that I was trying to fix for days, so I could finally play a game or two. IF none of that worked for you, here is the old guide. If your chipset is not in that link I still suggest that you search the windows eightforums first. These drivers are made by people much smarter than I and will most likely work the best for you. Next “Testr” from the comments provide a link to some preedited drivers on windows eightforums.Before modding the files, just try it! Hopefully you’ll get lucky. This probably dependent on the specific installers for each chipset. Next “Unknown” mentioned that there was no need to mod any files for his Intel 965 Express chipset.Intel now has drivers for 32-bit and 64-bit windows 8. Always check Intel’s site for official drivers first! For example, this guide was for my laptop’s GM45 chipset. It’s a bit outdated (around 8 months), so there is a good chance that you don’t have to do these instructions. Or is this a unique bug?Īdditionally, in the Python terminal window that runs alongside the Blender application, I notice I have two strange issues: the first thing that appeared at the top of the console was “Error Initializing Quicktime” and then as I use the program I notice a lot of “draws swap exchange” comments. HOWEVER, a new issue has come up: every time I go and access the Properties window in the buttons area, and go to the Modifiers section, when I hold down my middle mouse button to pan across the view, instead of panning across so I can see hidden parts of the menu, it instead, after pausing to load, suddenly zooms into the button panel and creates some really buggy/funky looking button versions of the modifiers stack, etc. I encountered the same graphics issue when I downgraded to Blender 2.48a, but when I installed Blender 2.55 beta, the glitch is entirely gone.
